Our luxurious apartment, completely renovated in 2023, is centrally located in a quiet residential area in the heart of the capital, only a two-minute walk from the Saldanha subway station, on both the Metro's Yellow and Red Lines.

Meet & Greet Service
On stays of 5 nights or longer in a double room, one of the houseboys will meet you at the airport and bring you to the apartment, free of charge! Just send your flight details, and one of them will be there with a little sign to meet you! For shorter stays, or if you're staying in the dormitory, this service is available for a nominal charge of 20 euros.
If you decide to make your own way to the apartment, we suggest taking an Uber or Bolt from Lisbon Airport. Please NEVER take a taxi, as they will try to cheat you (one guest paid €40 instead of the usual €12!). The pickup point for Uber and Bolt is now located in P2, Level 2, on the arrivals level; follow the signs for online ride-hailing, or follow the pickup directions in the app. The ride to the apartment is usually quick (from 10 to 15 minutes), but the price can vary depending on traffic and demand, so check the fare in the app before confirming. Fares are usually between €6 and €10.
Lisbon’s Metro is also a good option. The airport has its own Metro station, and the Red Line runs directly from Aeroporto to Saldanha, which is about a two-minute walk from the apartment. The trip usually takes around 30 minutes. A single Carris/Metro ticket currently costs €1.90, plus €0.50 for the reusable Navegante card if you do not already have one. You can also use "zapping" credit on the Navegante card, which is slightly cheaper per trip.
Private City Tours
You can discover Lisbon on an intimate outing with one of our charming gay hosts... or with another of our attractive, outgoing gay associates who are bright and fluent in English. Scheduling typically varies based on the weekday and the specific hour.
Under this arrangement, you compensate your guide 10 euros hourly in addition to costs (like taxis, tickets, meals, etc.). The shortest booking is 4 hours, generally commencing after 10:00 (since they all prefer a late start to the day!)
These guys understand Lisbon as only a resident could, not merely the iconic sights and popular vistas but also the secret spots that most travelers miss: the small taverns hidden in narrow lanes serving top-tier snacks, the balconies that tourist coaches bypass, the eccentric boutiques in Mouraria and Intendente, and the trendiest queer-friendly spots in Príncipe Real and Bairro Alto. Whether you desire a relaxed walk through Alfama with a charismatic companion detailing the past, a lively midday visiting the LX Factory and the flea market, or a complete expedition stretching to Belém and back, they can customize the trip specifically to your tastes and your speed.
Passing the afternoon touring a gorgeous capital with a handsome, witty, local gay guy who sincerely enjoys Lisbon is a quite difficult experience to top. These aren't corporate docents reciting a manual; they are genuine guys opening up their town to you, and that changes everything.
Black Mercedes
The alternative, more conventional choice is a private black Mercedes (featuring a skilled, gay-friendly motorist who speaks perfect English and is officially certified by the state as a guide) that runs about 40 euros an hour, no matter the passenger count (up to 4). These drivers are freelancers, and their prices are flexible, particularly if you book them for 6 hours or more.
This is a superb choice if you like traveling in elegance and ease, especially if you are arranging a full day out or wish to explore outside the city limits. Imagine Sintra's magical castles, the rugged shore at Cascais and Estoril, the lovely vineyards of the Setúbal Peninsula, or the ancient walled village of Óbidos; all are quickly accessible within an hour or so of Lisbon, and all are much more pleasant when you aren't stressing about steering, garage spots, or reading strange maps. Your chauffeur can propose the ideal route based on your preferences and the schedule you have, and because he’s a registered guide, you’ll actually gain some knowledge during the trip!

Rates
Rates
Our rates range from €59.00 to €99.00 per night per room (not per person) and are based on available occupancy according to the day of the week and to the season. Therefore, just like booking an airline seat, the sooner you reserve, the better the rate.
Our double rooms have one double bed and a shared bathroom; none of our guest rooms has an ensuite bathroom. For our younger guests, we now offer a luxury bunk bed in an all-male youth dormitory (our dorm is restricted to guests under 35 years old).

Low Season Rates apply from 12-Jan to 13-May and from 21-Oct to 15-Dec; High Season Rates apply from 14-May to 07-Jul, from 07-Sep to 20-Oct, and from 16-Dec to 11-Jan as well as from 7 days before Carnival to 5 days after Carnival and from 10 days before Easter to 9 days after Easter (the exact dates of which vary each year); Peak Season Rates apply from 08-Jul to 06-Sep.

My Rainbow Rooms Gay Men's Guest House is completely central (in Saldanha), next to several large shopping centers and only a two-minute walk from the Saldanha subway station, on both the Metro's Yellow and Red Lines. Saldanha is a quiet, early 20th-century residential area only a few minutes from the gay area, just two stops by metro to Rato (Príncipe Real) or 4 stops by metro to Baixa-Chiado (Bairro Alto).
